Happy Thanksgiving friends! We made it! Ron and I had a blast hosting our first Thanksgiving Day feast! I hope you all had a wonderful day as well!
My mom came over the night before, and made the stuffing (we call it Dressing). I got my china dishes and tablecloth out, and set the table. I also made French Silk Pie.
Mom gave me the china-love it!
I got the turkey cooking a little before 9am. I roasted it in my friend’s roaster-it was done by 1pm, and turned out great!
Ron and I watched the Macy’s Parade and the Purina Dog Show while I peeled potatoes. We got the stuffing into the oven around 11:30am. We boiled, mashed, and whipped the potatoes, and made the gravy, shortly before our guests would arrive.
I set out some appetizers, so no one would go hungry while waiting for dinner. My family arrived with the biscuits, desserts, an electric knife, and Grandma’s Cranberry Relish! We popped the biscuits into the oven, and Dad carved up the bird.
My brother’s girlfriend, Nicole, made this adorable fruit dish! It goes with my owls and pumpkins fall theme! She also made a delicious Pumpkin Cheesecake!
The happy hosts! It was a wonderful day spent with family and friends over good food.
Mom’s slicing the cheesecake!
I hope you enjoyed week 4 of Countdown To T-Day! We certainly did! Now it’s time for a nap! 😉
