I finally took all of my Christmas decorations down and put them away. Whew! Time for a fresh start! It’s been a busy month, and I’m kind of glad to be done with it. I finally am over the cold/sinus junk I had since Black Friday, and the lady I take care of has been in the hospital/rehab for the last three weeks. I am praying she will be back home by the end of this week, and that I will be back to work next week!
During this time off, I’ve been able to accomplish some things I wouldn’t have been able to do if I’d been working, such as taking down the Christmas decorations on a Monday. 😉 I was able to decorate the house for Valentine’s Day, as well!
One of the biggest projects I worked on for an entire day last week, was my Pinterest account. I had three accounts, and I took it down to one. I had to transfer most of my boards and pins! Yikes! I didn’t lose them, so it was definitely worth it! That’ll teach me to remember my account information for the next time!
I feel like I am finally ready for 2017 to begin-better late, than never, right? I have so enjoyed being home, and getting things done, plus getting to spend a lot of time with Ron! 🙂
During this time off, I was also able to start planning ahead. I realized that I needed to start planning out my posts more intentionally, and maybe try to get ahead of the game. I even started to get a better idea of what I want my blog to be about, and who I want it to reach.
I began to start setting goals for myself. I want to start coming up with blog post ideas for each new month, halfway through the month prior to it. I want to have more of a definite direction with my blog posts. I would also like to improve the quality of my pictures; I’ve already learned some valuable tips! Last, but not least, I would like to start writing e books. I definitely have some things to work on, and I’m thrilled to do so!
Time for a girly moment, ladies! I have been listening to more of my girly music lately, remembering my time as a single girl. I was able to get together with my girlfriend, Becky and catch up. I also made a date with one of my other girlfriends, Meagan, to do some catching up with, as well. Saturday, the 21st, Mom and I were invited to a Winter Tea, by our dear friend, Sandy, at her church. It was wonderful, catching up with her, and a bunch of our other good church friends. The devotional, Chilled, But Filled, was so encouraging. We were reminded how God can fill you, even when you are experiencing a chilling time in your life. I have also started watching the first season of Gilmore Girls-yes, I’m a noob! I was hooked after watching the Pilot episode! 😉
I hope you all are doing well thus far in the new year, and that you are excited about the fresh start we each have not only in a new year, but in each new day!
